YOUTH PROGRAM MANAGER

As the Youth Program Manager you will oversee our Youth Programs. You will report directly to the Program Coordinator and Executive Director and work with YFC staff to ensure quality programming for our community. See below for more information:

Background & Experience

  • Bilingual in  English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience  working with a social agency, specifically with youth and families  preferred
  • Preferably Associates Degree

Job Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Ability to initiate, organize and implement all aspects of the Youth Program core elements
  • Enroll, track and supervise youth within the program
  • Keep open communication with Program Coordinator regarding Youth Program updates
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment within the program
  • Assist the Executive Director in maintaining community partnerships
  • Volunteer management: recruit, train and supervise volunteers; host volunteer trainings
  • Remain flexible to the needs of the program and organization

Required hours: (Part-time) 20-25 hours

  • After-school Program (During School Year) Monday –Friday from 2:00 – 6:00p.m. 
  • Summer program  (June through August): Mondays-Thursdays 12:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m.
  • Additional hours  may be required to oversee other programs, events, etc. 
  • Other responsibilities are completed at office during  non-programming hours.

BI-CULTURAL SERVICE NAVIGATOR

As Bi-Cultural Service Navigator you will Provide one-on-one navigation services to individuals and families to help discern their needs and give them county resources. Provides linkage support including linguistic and cultural interpretation of documents and services. You will report directly to the Program Coordinator and Executive Director. You will also work with other Youth and Family Center programs to ensure quality programming for our community. See below for more information: 


Background & Experience

  • Bilingual in English and  Spanish 
  • Required Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree Preferred or;
  • Five years of experience working with a social agency, specifically with youth and families preferred

Job Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Ability  to initiate, organize and implement all aspects of the Navigation Service  Program core elements
  • Provide  outreach, needs assessment, referrals, intake, and support to individuals  and families
  • Meet  with clients one-on-one to asses needed services and support
  • Provide linkage support, facilitating communication between mental health, substance abuse, education and other community institutions
  • Providing linguistic and cultural interpretation of documents and services
  • Coordinate with other county service providers to ensure client access to services
  • Document case management progress notes and intake forms
  • Report program updates, complete monthly reports
  • Ability to deliver services in a variety of community settings
  • Keep open communication with Program Coordinator and Director regarding Navigation Program
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment within the program
  • Assist in maintaining community partnerships
  • Remain flexible to the needs of the program and organization

  • Ability to demonstrate interactive skills with diverse population
  • Provide client transportation
  • Some exposure to mental health issues
