COVID-19 has impacted our everyday lives and we thank you for your continued support and wish you and your family health and peace.
Throughout this pandemic our youth program continues to empower youth through our remote learning Student Support Hub. This hub was designed to provide a safe space where it’s conducive to their learning while also encouraging them to stay socially connected while still practicing social distance.
As a community agency it is our mission to empower youth and their families by bridging a socioeconomic gap and provide equal access to resources and opportunities such as internet access and a structured and quiet space for youth to successfully do their e-learning.
In order to achieve the best desired outcome, our hub has focused on promoting structure as well as independence. Each youth has their own designated study space with a personalized schedule board which aids their ability to focus as well as staying on task.
Our Youth staff collaborates with our youth teachers and school social workers in efforts to tackle any barriers whether they are academically or social-emotional. By doing so, we ensure that our youth have all the tools and resources that will help them thrive and succeed as overall human beings.
As we adapt to these unprecedented circumstances, we'll continue to serve our community the best that we can. Our program hours have more than doubled from last year and we would not be able to provide this support without your generosity.
"Little Drops of Knowledge" is a collaboration with YFC and McHenry School District 15 in efforts to bridge a cultural and social-economic gap between the school district and our families. Our goal is to simplify and unify our community and parent efforts.
